Getting Around New York City By Limo or Car Service

Does being here bring out the star in you? Do you feel like riding around NYC in high style? Are you celebrating a special occasion or planning on doing a lot of shopping? Do you have a full schedule of appointments or simply want the convenience and ease of having a car and driver? New York City has many private car and limousine services that usually charge by the hour (some have a 1½-hour minimum) or offer a flat rate for sightseeing excursions.

You can also use a car service rather than a cab to get to and from the airports. Booking is easy. Most accept major credit cards, or you can set up a personal account with them and pay on a monthly basis. Prices range from around $60–$70/hour for a luxury sedan to $80–$100/hour for a stretch limousine (1½- to 2-hour minimum); $40–$80 from Manhattan to LaGuardia Airport and $50–$110 to JFK; $150–$175 for a 3-hour tour of NYC. Gratuities are usually additional.
